If you live along a stream that flows to the Rondout Reservoir or Neversink Reservoir, you may be eligible to receive streamside planting support from RNSP.

Since 2011, RNSP has worked with streamside landowners to design and install streamside plantings that improve the health of local waterways and protect properties from hazardous erosion. This service is free to landowners, funded by NYC DEP to improve water quality.
Schedule a Site Visit
If you’re a landowner interested in seeing more Catskill native trees and shrubs on your property, send us an email to schedule a site visit.
During a site visit, a RNSP staff member will ask you about your goals or concerns you have for your streamside property. From there, our staff will provide you with a free botanical survey of your property, complete a stability assessment of your streambank, and walk you through which planting support services your property qualifies for.
Applying for RNSP Streamside Assistance
If your property is eligible for RNSP streamside support, we will walk you through the application process and work with you to design and install a streamside planting for your property. The installation timeline is determined by several factors, including how many landowners apply to receive planting support in a given year.
